Being Extraordinary

A few months back, my friend suggested me to lead Medical Camp, being afraid up to take the responsibility, I gave him a sign of disagreement, and his reply was just a nod saying that I will be fine. “The beautiful thing about fear is, when you run to it, it runs away” Robin Sharma quoted once. Holding on to those wise words and putting my trust on my friend, I took the project into my hands. As promised, my friend was there for me throughout the project, holding me firm whenever I stumble. Never knew the first guy I met in university would turn out to be one of my strongest pillar. A brother–like figure, Deva is to me. Sitting down at a café near to our hostel, within minutes we discussed and came up with the committee’s list. It is so quiet that I could hear the fan blowing the still air around my small closed room in the hostel creating a soothingly rhythmic sound. The fluorescent light from my table lamp is glaring at my metallic bottle giving me a reflection of myself. Unable to express my feelings, I kept staring at it and drowned in deep thoughts. Friends. Just a simple seven letter word which has shown me all seven colours of rainbow. If I am to thank God, I would definitely thank him first for giving me a beautiful family and second for giving me family-like friends. Sisters and brothers by heart whom I am so blessed to have. “Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are”, goes the saying. It is indeed an undeniable fact that most of our actions, thoughts and words resemble our friends.
