My First Paper

DEDICATED TO MY USM  MATES;

Late morning.Sleepless nights. Countless coffee. Messy table. Lost and found notes. Past year questions Pilled up laundry clothes. Skipped meals.Concerned parents. Ignored phone calls.Messages. Nag from girlfriends. Partially gone mad friends. Already mad US. Back pain. Headache.Sudden running nose. Charlies' visits. Flies "COMEBACK". Etc etc....

Sums up our study week.

Then, comes the day we have been waiting for.....@like literally "WAITING" for.

Praying to the Holy ONE. Seeking blessings from our loved ones. We step into the examination hall.Noticing the familiar faces after a week gap, we exchange smiles.
Before flipping the pages, we tell ourselves "Senjereven Da. Inthe SEM Dean List da".

You may begin your examination now. Says the instructor.

Background music: "A Thousand Years"

@When you flip the first page

Heart beats fast, trembles and bad instincts.
How to be brave?
How can I screw up when I am afraid of repeat?
But flipping the pages fast .
All of my doubt suddenly comes again somehow.
One step closer..........

I have died every day waiting for you.
Darling, don't "SENJU" me.
I have studied you for a "thousand times".
I've studied you for a thousand times.

@Then, you remember the formula

And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I would write you for many times.
I'll keep on "goreng" you until the time ends.

One step closer
One step closer

@Once you are out

"SENJETEN DA"

Jallikatu Throwback-

Sitting in our comfortable coach, scrolling our Facebook feeds and watching the havoc in Tamil Nadu doesn't seem to give an answer to our questions about why are Tamilians protesting so intensely for Jallikatu. So I decided to get on the ground to check out myself. Let me give you a brief idea about the scenario here. Men and women dressed up in black, marching like ants in the narrow roads of India, sandwiched between closed shops, under scorching hot sun with slight cool breeze tickling the ears to get to the protesting ground located at Thamukam. Kids are seen wearing bull masks, teenagers in their motorbikes whistling, students carrying posters which says"We Support Jallikatu" and "Say No to PETA" showing their support for Jallikatu. The local news channels announced the shut down of schools and colleges. After chatting with some of the locals here,I understood the deeper consequences of banning Jallikatu. Besides playing a main role in Jallikatu, bull...

Friends=Wealth

It is so quiet that I could hear the fan blowing the still air around my small closed room in the hostel creating a soothingly rhythmic sound. The fluorescent light from my table lamp is glaring at my metallic bottle giving me a reflection of myself. Unable to express my feelings, I kept staring at it and drowned in deep thoughts. Friends. Just a simple seven letter word which has shown me all seven colours of rainbow. If I am to thank God, I would definitely thank him first for giving me a beautiful family and second for giving me family-like friends. Sisters and brothers by heart whom I am so blessed to have. โ€œShow me your friends and Iโ€™ll tell you who you areโ€, goes the saying. It is indeed an undeniable fact that most of our actions, thoughts and words resemble our friends. Partly, because we grew up holding hands and walking along the corridors of our schools, sharing every piece ourselves to the one beside us. From our favourite meal to our latest video game. We...
